GETTING READY FOR BLC42
I absolutely love the theme for this round...Dieting Through the Decades. Fad diets and fitness trends come and go, but the idea of dieting and physical fitness has been around for centuries. From Charles Atlas to Jane Fonda, and the Grapefruit Diet to Paleo, each week we will take a look at some of the most famous (and infamous) diet and fitness trends from the 1900s to today.

Remember on the Ninjas - 100% PARTICIPATION is expected! There should NEVER be a zero listed in the ONTS in the challenge columns. Whenever we do not have 100%, the team will suffer a penalty - 100 JJs (Jumping Jacks)! Do YOU want to be responsible for everyone else on the team having to do JJs?Challenges are an important part of the BLC and it's important that everyone participate! It's one of the things that we stress - Participation, Not Perfection |

TNT for this week - click on the button below and read the information about Strength Training (ST) Click on the black buttons on that page to find the full articles. Try using some of the exercises listed in the 50 Body Weight exercises OR you can use the Alternate TNT List page or do your own ST routine. Post the 'goal met' emoticon in the chat thread after you have read the articles and completed a ST workout. Count this as one of your ST/TNT days. |
Below are PDF formats of the same challenges, in case you can't access Google Docs!
Weekend Challenge
|
For this WEC you are going to choose 3 nutrition goals that you will try to achieve over the weekend and throughout the first 4 weeks of BLC42. Read the Nutrition page before deciding what your goals will be. *Remember, this is nutrition goals, not fitness. If you prefer to keep track on the computer you can use this link to a Nutrition Tracker. Please follow directions to make you save your own copy to your computer. DO NOT type in the original spreadsheet in this link.
|
An alternate to the weekly posted TNT is available. However, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you do the weekly TNT. Use the alternate only when life gets in the way! ALL exercises can be modified to make them easier for you to do. But remember, if they are too easy then it is not a challenge.

LCW - PRACTICE WEEK = 40 MINUTES CHALLENGE
Monday AND Tuesday
You have been challenged to 40 minutes of INTENTIONAL FITNESS. Do 20 minutes of CARDIO and 20 minutes of ST. Post your minutes on the ONTS. The number of minutes you work out will be your LCW score. The score you see in the LCW column is just the minimum score we would like you to aim for.
Usually LCW is either Monday or Tuesday but for Practice Week and to push you to do some cardio & ST, we'll allow both days to get it done!
